Do you need to come to the house to provide an estimate?

No we do not!  A simple video call or through photos or video that you send to us is often times enough. There are exceptions when we feel a site visit is necessary, but we work hard to keep the process efficient for everyone.

How quickly can you start and how long do jobs take?

We can start in as little as a few days, or up to a few weeks depending on the season and our client load. Depending on the scale of the project, painting times can range from one day to 1-3 weeks. We aim to be as efficient as possible with minimal disruption to your daily routine. 

 

Are you going to put 2 coats of paint?

Yes! Two coats of paint at a minimum are always applied. 

Will you be priming first?

We always know when, and when not to prime before painting. Most projects where we are going over a previously painted surface in a similar tone does not require the use of a primer. However there are situations when using a primer is necessary such as coating bare surfaces, painting after removing old paint, or doing a big colour change that needs colour coverage. if you’re touching up an already-coated surface that’s in decent shape, you can save some time and money by putting the primer down and/or using a self-priming paint instead.

What sheen of paint should I use?

This question is not only dependent on how a room is used, but it also dependent on the how much shine the homeowner prefers. The higher the sheen, the more wipe-able and cleanable it is and the longer the paint surface will last. On the downside, the higher the sheen, the more the texture and wall anomalies will be highlighted. However, this works well on decorative touches such as trim and doors which tend to have unique elements. Ultimately it is up to you as the homeowner on how much sheen you prefer.
